RCB is one of the most entertaining teams of IPL

The Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise, Roal Challengers Banglore owner Vijay Mallya has been arrested for the second time in the UK this year.

However, this time he had put behind the bars in a case of money laundering, sources of NDTV said on Tuesday. Mr. Mallya is out on bail in another case in which he was arrested in April following India’s extradition request.

The liquor baron has been staying in London for over a year now, is blamed of defaulting on loans worth thousands of crores in India. He flew out of India in the middle of attempts by a group of banks to recover a sum of around INR 9,000 crore loaned to him for his now collapsed Kingfisher Airlines.

However, the aftermath of his arrest might the future of RCB as if the accusation of money laundering comes true then he can no longer become the official owner of the team and it may result in the dissolving of the team in some other franchise.

RCB has been one of the unluckiest IPL teams in the history of the tournament as in the 2017 season of IPL they reached finals with some consistent performances but failed to clinch the title that year. Similar kind of thing happened to them in 2009 as well. Both the time the Hyderabad franchise took the better of RCB.

An ardent cricket fan can now only hope that the flamboyant team stays in the upcoming editions of IPL as they have some entertaining players like Chris Gayle, AB de Villiers, Virat Kohli and lots more.
