Glenn Maxwell’s struggles with the bat continued in IPL 2025 as he endured yet another disappointing outing for Punjab Kings (PBKS) against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at Eden Gardens. The Australian all-rounder’s brief stay at the crease was cut short by Varun Chakravarthy, who once again proved to be Maxwell’s nemesis. Chakravarthy bowled a flat, skidding delivery that rushed onto Maxwell, who made room to cut but missed it completely. The ball crashed into the top of the off-stump, leaving Maxwell visibly frustrated as he trudged back after scoring just 7 runs.
