India’s star cricketer Harmanpreet Kaur has time and again that she is a crucial player for Team India. Her scintillating knock in the semi-final of the Women’s World Cup against Australia made her an overnight sensation.
Harmanpreet is the flag bearer of the new, aggressive breed of Indian cricketers who are fearless with their play. The Indian women’s cricket team was standing at the 7th position before the tournament and after making it to the finals against hosts England they are now ranked 4th. But, now it seems the Harmanpreet is taking a break from cricket and is looking for other opportunities. Recently, she was spotted on a different kind of a platform, as she was walking on the ramp of the Mysore Fashion Week.
Talking about her first-time experience at a fashion show, Kaur told IANS: “I was very nervous because it’s my first and I wanted to try something new and different as well, Aso why not try the ramp.”
Kaur made a debut on the ramp for designer Archana Kochhar at the on September 17. She walked in an elegant blue lehenga and let go of her humble smile as the jam-packed venue cheered the cricketer.
Archana took to Instagram to post Harman’s first ramp walk. It was captioned as, “Look who walked for me at Mysore fashion week. @imharmanpreet_kaur, vice-captain of Women’s Indian Cricket Team.”
