The final of the ongoing 11th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is scheduled to be played between Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in Mumbai. Both the teams have played pretty dominating cricket all through the season. While SRH has been known to defend lowest of the totals in IPL 2018, CSK had been able to chase down the biggest of the totals this season.

However, in terms of the winning momentum, SRH has faced loss in the last four out of five games and the only win came in the second qualifier against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). On the other hand, CSK has registered a memorable win against SRH in the first qualifier on Tuesday. Here are the probable playing XIs –

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH)

SRH are confirmed in the playoffs at the number one position. However, they have lost the first qualifier against CSK in a closed locked match in Mumbai. The good part of that lost match was that was that they came really close to the target with Williamson in super form and also, Rashid Khan’s batting exploits will also make them happy.

In the match against KKR, SRH made three changes by dropping, Shreevats Goswami, Manish Pandey, and Sandeep Sharma and replaced them with Wriddhiman Saha, Deepak Hooda, and Khaleel Ahmed. SRH is likely to play with the same squad in the final as well.

Probable Playing XI – Shakib Al Hasan, Shikhar Dhawan, Wriddhiman Saha (wk), Siddarth Kaul, Manish Pandey/Deepak Hooda, Kane Williamson (c), Carlos Brathwaite, Sandeep Sharma/ Khaleel Ahmed, Yusuf Pathan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Rashid Khan

Chennai Super Kings (CSK)

MS Dhoni and his men in yellow cleaned up the Hyderabadi team in the first qualifier in a close match. The shining spot was Faf du Plessis getting back to the form with a match-winning fifty. He scored when it mattered the most.

In the first qualifier against SRH, it was the match against a team against whom they had won all the games in the league stages, CSK bowled well in patches and contained SRH. CSK batting had a rare failure but Du Plessis. In the last match, they dropped David Willey to include Lungi Ngidi who bowled really well. CSK may do some changes considering this is the final.

Probable Playing XI – Harbhajan Singh, Shane Watson, Dwayne Bravo, MS Dhoni (c & wk), Suresh Raina, Ravindra Jadeja, Ambati Rayudu, David Willey, Deepak Chahar, Sam Billings/Faf du Plessis, Shardul Thakur
