Chennai Super Kings have suffered a plenty of heartbreaks in this one season already. They have their home venue shifted, their star players have suffered injuries and few are not available for selection. Add to this the trauma of Mahi’s valiant fighting knock against Punjab that ended up in a loss. Amidst all of these, CSK will be facing Rajasthan Royals at their new home venue, Pune.

Here are the five things to look forward to from the encounter.

1.The Returning Season

Both the teams, Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals did not feature in the IPL editions of 2016 & 2017. Both teams were found guilty on charges of corruption and had to face a suspension of two years. Afer the completion, the tainted pair shall now be facing each other in the competition.

Incidentally, the first ever IPL final featured these two teams. Rajasthan won the IPL 2008 and since then they have never been seen in any IPL final. They have never gone for established cricketers, instead, they have always relied on underrated cricketers to deliver for them, This year, they broke the stereotype with huge spendings.

Chennai has been brilliant not only in the IPL but also in the parallel Champions League. They have played in six IPL finals and have twice been the winners. They won consecutive titles in 2010 and 2011, the same year MS Dhoni won India the World Cup.

The two returning teams will be eyeing the trophy to regain the lost glory.
