Th West Indian duo was an obvious choice for retention, the only worry was Russell’s injury scare after the year ban and Narine’s issue with his suspect action. Both have come good in the season so far.

Andre Russell with his brand of aggressive batting has taken KKR from some difficult situations to some very good scores. His strike rate for the season so far is 193 with 23 sixes on his name. Narine has contributed with the bat as he scores 168 runs per 100 balls he has faced. Narine has taken 12 wickets at an economy of 7.59.
