In the 15th league match of the 2017 league stage, Delhi had won the toss and decided to bat posting the total of 188/6 and Kings XI Punjab could not reply very fiercely as their top order collapsed and they were 66/5 in 10.3 overs.

And then all-rounder Axar Patel came down to bat and like his other teammate he did not lose his wicket easily and went on to smash the Delhi bowlers into the big stands entertaining the crowd. Patel scored 44 in the game and was dismissed at the final ball of the match by South-Africa’s Chris Morris. It is the highest IPL score by Patel till date.
