Mumbai Indians (MI) are the three-time IPL title winners will walk in this season with some sort of expectations around them as they failed to reach the playoffs this season. During the auctions, they played smart as they retained most of their core team that included Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, Pandya brothers and Kieron Pollard. They also traded in Quinton de Kock.

Indian contingent:

Perhaps, the strongest Indian contingent in this IPL. Mumbai did well to maintain the key players from the last year. In Hardik and Krunal, they have a middle order batsman, a finisher and 8 overs combined of spin and speed. Mayank Markande will be the spin partner of Krunal.

The greatest jewel of the MI team is, of course, their captain Rohit Sharma. They will be hopeful of having at least two-three match winning knocks from their captain who has been in a splendid form lately. Ishan Kishan is an exciting prospect which other teams will have to deal with first, who did a decent job along with Surya Kumar Yadav in the top order. This year also have a veteran like Yuvraj Singh.

Jaspreet Bumrah will again be the center focus of Mumbai’s bowling. He will be eager to perform for his franchise. The Indian part in Mumbai Indians looks quite strong.

Evin Lewis will again play a crucial role for MI as he is as explosive as Chris Gayle. They boast of three amazing bowlers in Mitchell McClenaghan, Adam Milne, and Jason Behrendorff. All three can bowl very effectively at every stage of a T20 match and are extremely difficult to get away. Even, Ben Cutting will be crucial with his all-around abilities.
