The 12th edition of the Indian Premier League is about to start and the whole India is preparing to go mad for the next 50 days. Captains of IPL teams

Captains hold an important role in inspiring the team to do the un-probable on the field. We have eight different skippers, who hold a different mind on their shoulders. One is cool as a cucumber, other is always fired up, another one is calm as an ocean – we have a variety of leaders. But it is interesting to see how they fare on their performance’s front. Let’s have a look.

Rating: 6.5/10

Mumbai Indians have developed a tendency to perform exactly opposite to what they performed last year. One year they win the title of IPL while in the following year, they couldn’t make it to the playoffs. Last year they finished on the fifth position and just missed the opportunity to make a cutoff. Mumbai Indians’ batting line up is so much dependent on their skipper Rohit Sharma despite having some big guns in their rank.

Evin Lewis, Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya and Kieron Pollard have the potential to win matches for Mumbai. But none of them, except Suryakumar, fired last year. Moreover, Rohit was the biggest disappointment for them in the previous season. He managed just 286 runs in 14 matches at a poor average of 23. Mumbai expects much more from him and he has to fire this year if MI wants to lift their fourth title in eight years.
