The recent reports are suggesting that the veteran CSK cricketer, Suresh Raina has returned back to India from UAE and he had made himself unavailable for the entire Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 due to personal reasons. The news has been confirmed by the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) CEO KS Viswanathan in a tweet shared by the franchise. CSK has offered complete support to Suresh and his family during this time.
Tweeting about the same, CSK wrote: “Suresh Raina has returned to India for personal reasons and will be unavailable for the remainder of the IPL season. Chennai Super Kings offers complete support to Suresh and his family during this time.”

Earlier, days after deciding to hang his boots from international cricket, former Indian cricketer Suresh Raina has volunteered to promote cricket in Jammu and Kashmir by providing an opportunity to the underprivileged kids of the state. Raina himself is a Kashmiri Pandit. While his father Trilok Chand hails from Rainawari in the State of Jammu and Kashmir, his mother is from Dharamsala, Himachal Pradesh.

Announcing the same, Rain wrote: “I have etched a mark on the field of international cricket for 15 years, and thus I would like to make use of the knowledge and skills I learned over the years and pass it onto the next generation. My intention is to find out talented youngsters from various parts of the state.”
The 33-year-old, who recently announced his international retirement, traveled with the CSK squad to Dubai on August 21. The squad had went through a mandatory 6-day quarantine last week until it emerged yesterday that they would continue to remain so after a few members from the team had tested positive for COVID-19.
