Former Indian opener Aakash Chopra has come out heavily on Sanju Samson and Lokesh Rahul for being responsible for the slow over-rates for their respective teams. Aakash was of the opinion that both these captains should be fined for their team’s slow over-rates.
Chopra took to Twitter and shared his views on the slow over rates in the game. He tweeted that though the game between RR and PBKS had lots of sixes, the over-rate was seen as just ten runs an over. Recently, MS Dhoni was also levied with a hefty fine for slow over-rate in his side’s first game against DC.
10 overs per hour. For both sides. Yes…lots of sixes. Tight game too. But 2 hours to finish a T20 innings is unacceptable. MSD was fined the other night….expecting the same for both captains tonight. #IPL2021 #RRvPBKS
