Jonny Bairstow and Warner are one of the deadliest opening pair in the Indian Premier League’s history. SRH was hoping from their openers to give them a dashing start against CSK. Bairstow has been in superb form this season and has hit the most number of sixes so far in the tournament.

But it didn’t seem like his day as he almost registered a golden duck in the first over of the match. Deepak Chahar came to open the bowling and induced an edge down the leg-side. It was a poor delivery as it was going down the leg-side but Bairstow tried to pound upon the run-scoring opportunity but ended up edging it.

However, Chahar’s joy was short-lived as MS Dhoni dropped one of the easiest catches behind the stumps to give Bairstow an early reprieve. Chahar was so sure for this wicket that the drop catch took him by surprise. He stood his ground and looked dejected. He couldn’t believe his luck as a catch slipper out of Dhoni’s hands.

Twitter was quick to notice this reaction of Chahar and expressed their views on the micro-blogging site. Here are some of those tweets;

Bairstow didn’t make CSK pay the prize of this dropped chance as he perished in the fourth over when he tried to hoick Sam Curran. He got out after scoring seven runs.

Warner and Manish Pandey scored their respective fifties but were unable to score those runs quickly. It was Kane Williamson and Kedar Jadhav’s late blows that took their score to 171/3 in 20 overs.
