Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians are locking horns to mark the resumption of the second leg of the Indian Premier League 2021 in the UAE. Both teams are currently sitting in the top four and will try to stick to their position by the end of the league stage.
Chennai Super Kings received a huge blow during the game against Mumbai Indians when Ambati Rayudu had to retire hurt due to injury. CSK had already lost two wickets and then Rayudu had to walk back with injury concerns.
Rayudu struck a blow on his elbow during the second over of the innings from Adam Milne, who had already removed Moeen Ali for a duck in the same over. The ball came in sharply after pitching around the off stump.

Rayudu tried to sway away from the line of the ball and wasn’t able to do that as the ball was coming at him very quickly. It eventually struck on his elbow and the medical staff came rushing out to check him.
The middle-order batsman was griming with pain in the middle. Medical staff did their investigation and Rayudu decided to walk back into the pavilion.

Adam Milne followed it up by dismissing Moeen Ali for a duck and saw Ambati Rayudu getting retired hurt as CSK were reeling 2/2 at the end of the second over. Suresh Raina walked out to bat and didn’t look like his older self and got out to Boult.
CSK were in tatters and MS Dhoni had to walk into the middle to save his team. But MI bowlers were too hot to handle and they removed CSK skipper as well on the last ball of the powerplay. CSK were 24/4 at the end of the powerplay with Rayudu sitting in the dugout with an injured elbow.
Boult and Milne bagged two wickets apiece.
