Ambati Rayudu set the stage on fire during the Chennai Super Kings’ clash against archrivals Mumbai Indians during the 27^th game of the Indian Premier League 2021. He smashed MI’s bowlers to all corners of the park during his knock of 72 runs off 27 balls, where he hit four fours and seven huge sixes.

Jasprit Bumrah had a night to forget as he leaked 56 runs in his four overs while he managed to take one wicket. Bumrah was thrashed everywhere by Rayudu in the death overs.

During the 17^th over of the first innings, which Bumrah was bowling, Rayudu smashed him for a six on the last ball, which went on to break the glass of the refrigerator. The refrigerator was placed next to Mumbai Indians’ dugout and it broke into piece after being hit by Rayudu’s six.

Earlier, Rohit Sharma won the toss and opted to bowl first in Delhi’s Arun Jaitley Stadium. Trent Boult gave CSK an early jolt by dismissing Ruturaj Gaikwad, who has been in a good form for the last few games. However, nothing went in MI’s favour from this point onwards.

Moeen Ali came to bat at number three and scored a swashbuckling fifty inside the first ten overs. He shared a crucial 108-run stand for the second wicket with Faf du Plessis, who also scored a half-century. However, they both were dismissed in a short span of time.

Then came Rayudu-storm, who was on a rampage since coming to the crease. He shared a 102-run partnership with Ravindra Jadeja and didn’t go easy on any MI bowler. Rayudu’s unbeaten knock propelled CSK’s total to 218/4 in 20 overs.

MI chased the target down on the last ball. Kieron Pollard was at his brutal best and scored 87 runs off just 34 balls, where he hit six fours and eight sixes.
