The third ball of the last over of the second innings between Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Delhi Capitals (DC) became the talk of the town as the on-field umpire didn’t deem it as a No-Ball. RCB all-rounder, Glenn Maxwell had his say on the whole fiasco via his Tweet and now Jimmy Neesham has taken a dig at the all-rounder for his take on the no-ball incident.

It was a high-scoring game as both the teams crossed the threshold of 200 runs. Delhi Capitals was chasing a huge score of 223 and Rovman Powell at the far end lit up the stadium with his back-to-back sixes. However, the no-ball incident became the highlight of the match and Jimmy Neesham hit back at Maxwell’s comment which he posted on Twitter.

Rishabh Pant was irked and even signaled the batters to come back to the dugout after he thought the umpire made a blunder. Glenn Maxwell, who is a crucial cog in the RCB camp, expressed his views on Twitter as he posted a GIF and captioned it as: “So umpires check no balls for front foot every ball, but can’t check a high full toss? Makes sense…”

Following this Tweet by Glenn Maxwell, Jimmy Neesham hits back and replies to the comment by Maxwell. Replying to Maxwell, Jimmy Neesham wrote, ‘Knee high.”

The incident became a talking point in the cricket circuit and many thought that Rishabh Pant signaling the batters to walk off the field was against the spirit of the game. Pant had even sent DC coach Pravin Amre on the field to intervene. After a lot of discussions and a delay, the match carried on and Rajasthan won the game by 15 runs.
