Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) continued their impressive IPL 2025 campaign with a six-wicket victory over Delhi Capitals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Sunday night. The Rajat Patidar-led team delivered an all-around performance, climbing to the top of the points table. In the post-match address, RCB’s head coach Andy Flower praised the bowlers for their superb performance in restricting DC to 162/8, calling it their best bowling display of the season so far.

The chase was anchored by half-centuries from Krunal Pandya (73*) and Virat Kohli (51), who guided RCB to the target in 18.3 overs. Andy Flower then invited wicketkeeper-batter Jitesh Sharma to discuss the batting performance. Jitesh highlighted debutant Jacob Bethell’s brief but impressive knock, including a stunning six off Mitchell Starc. He also lauded Tim David’s explosive 19 off 5 balls, noting his presence made a significant impact.

However, Jitesh Sharma’s take on skipper Rajat Patidar’s performance left the RCB dressing room in fits of laughter. Patidar, who was run out for a run-a-ball six after a mix-up with Kohli, was playfully critiqued by Jitesh.

RCB’s seventh win in 10 matches has firmly positioned them among the top contenders for the IPL 2025 playoffs.
