Trott, speaking in a post-match press conference, lauded Omarzai’s ambition and diligent work ethic. “Well, there’s plenty of raw talent, but it’s the case with a guy like Azmat, very ambitious but also works incredibly hard, good work ethic. And as a coach, when that’s already there, you know, that makes the job a lot easier.”
The coach highlighted Omarzai’s exceptional ability to time the ball, recalling instances where he confidently dispatched deliveries from top bowlers. Trott expressed his admiration for Omarzai’s special talent and eagerly anticipated his growth as a prominent player for Afghanistan.
