Indian batsmen Rohit Sharma and Dinesh Karthik are currently with the team which is geared up to lock horns with England for the second T20I of the three-match series. Men Blue won the first T20I in Manchester, after whitewashing Ireland in a two-match T20I series. However, Karthik and Rohit’s departure to the United Kingdom (UK) was an eventful one.
Recently, in a chat show, named ‘Breakfast With Champions’, hosted by Gaurav Kapur, Karthik revealed how Sharma was about t miss his flight on his way to the European country. Even Rohit was present during the show. Dinesh said, “We all assembled in Delhi and were supposed to leave for the UK. Our man (Rohit) came chilled, having forgotten his passport back in Mumbai. It got delivered to him just in time, else he would’ve been left behind.”

Meanwhile, Karthik also acknowledged that such goof-ups happen with him as well. He said, “That’s one of the things I want to change about myself. Supposed you’re talking to me, I’ll just get lost and that sometimes comes across as rude. A lot of times I switch on my phone to do something, but by the time it opens I forget what I wanted to do.”
Defending himself against the hilarious remarks, Rohit funnily mentioned that his teammates keep forming cooked up stories about him to pull his leg. He defended, “Everyone forgets their passport but these guys just make stories about me.”
Recalling another such Rohit-Karthik story, the wicketkeeper-batsman revealed once Sharma saw his bat and said, give it to me. Karthik gave it to Sharma without a second thought. It was amazing that the bat proved to be Lucky for him and he got to his first international half-century. Rohit said that when he asked for a bat from Karthik, he did not have a bat to play. Sharma worked with Karthik’s bat for the next seven-eight months.
