Punjab Kings (PBKS) will surely be happy with the performance of Prabhsimran Singh as the youngster amassed his maiden century in the 59th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. He helped PBKS to reach the score of 167 runs on the board at the end of their designated 20 overs. After losing Shikhar Dhawan, Liam Livingstone, and Jitesh Sharma within the powerplay, PBKS was struggling in the game.
However, it was Prabhsimran Singh who brought the innings back on track alongside Sam Curran with the duo putting up a crucial partnership of 72 runs for the 4th wicket. Following Sam Curran’s dismissal, Prabhsimran Singh took things on his own shoulders as the batter started to get going scoring the bulk of the runs for the Punjab Kings.

No one apart from Prabhsimran Singh was able to leave an impact for Punjab Kings with the bat as Sam Curran was the second-highest scorer for the team with just 20 runs to his name. With the innings slowly moving towards the end, Prabhsimran Singh tried to pick up the pace and score a little freely for his team but unfortunately for the batter, he did not receive any support from his fellow batters.
With fatigue starting to set in, Prabhsimran Singh attempted to go big against Delhi’s Mukesh Kumar in the 19th over of the contest but failed to get his bat under a low full toss as the ball stayed low and crashed onto the stumps.
