Pakistan wins the Test series against Australia in UAE after beating them in the second and final Test of the series at Abu Dhabi on Friday.
After a brilliant draw from Australia in the first Test of the series at Dubai, Pakistan clinched their largest ever Test victory (by runs) in the second Test as they beat Australia by 373 runs.

After winning the toss on the first day morning, Pakistan scored 282 runs in the first innings with the help of two 94-run knocks by the debutant opener Fakhar Zaman and the skipper Sarfraz Ahmed. At the one stage, Pakistan was struggling on 57/5 after losing four wickets in six balls without adding any runs on the board.
In reply, Australia was bundled out for just 145 runs as Aaron Finch played the best knock in that innings of 39 runs. Only Mitchell Starc (34) was the other batsman in that innings to reach the 30-run marks. Pacer Mohammad Abbas bagged five wickets in that innings as he had a bowling figure of 12.4-4-33-5.
In their second innings that started with the 137-run lead, Pakistan played very well and scored 400/9 before declaring that innings. Babar Azam missed his maiden Test century for just one run as he scored 99 off 171 balls (6 fours and 3 sixes). The debutant opener Fakhar Zaman (66) and the skipper Sarfraz Ahmed (81) again hit their respective half-centuries in the second innings and the no.3 batsman Azhar Ali (64) came to join that party before involving in a bizarre run-out.

With those top knocks, Pakistan set a giant 538-run target for Australia. This time the visitors failed to make the same miracle like the first Test of the series at Dubai as they were bundled out for just 164 runs (Usman Khawaja was absent hurt) and lost the game by 373 runs as well as lost the series by the 1-0 margin. Marnus Labuschagne was the only Australian batsman in the Abu Dhabi Test match to reach the 40-run mark as he scored 43 in the fourth innings of the game.
Mohammad Abbas claimed another five-wicket haul during Australia’s second innings and finished with the bowling figure of 17-2-62-5. He had the match bowling figure of 29.4-6-95-10 and became the first Pakistan pacer to claim a 10-wicket haul in a Test match, since April 2006. Another Pakistan debutant the left-arm pacer Mir Hamza took only one wicket in this entire match.
After the end of the match as well as the Test series, Mohammad Abbas won both the Player of the Match and Player of the Series awards.

- Pakistan pacer Mohammad Abbas had a match bowling figure of 29.4-6-95-10. Since April 2006, Abbas becomes the first Pakistan pacer to claim the 10-wicket haul in a Test match. Previously, Mohammad Asif had achieved this feat in April 2006 against Sri Lanka at Kandy.
- Pakistan won this Test by 373 runs. It is their largest ever victory (by runs) in Test history. Their previous record was winning by 356 runs against Australia at Abu Dhabi in 2014.
- In their first innings of the Abu Dhabi Test, Australia was bundled out for just 145 runs. It is their lowest Test total in UAE. Their previous record was 202 against Pakistan at Dubai (DSC) in the first Test of the series.
