In a heartwarming video shared by PBKS on social media, Arshdeep Singh and Harpreet Brar are seen relishing Mishti Doi, surrounded by a spread of delectable dishes. After opting to bowl first, PBKS faced a daunting challenge as KKR’s batsmen, led by Phil Salt and Sunil Narine, powered their way to a formidable total of 261/6. Despite the onslaught, Punjab’s Rahul Chahar emerged as the standout bowler, conceding only 33 runs in his spell and claiming the crucial wicket of Narine.

 

In response, Prabhsimran Singh set the tone with a blistering 54 off just 20 balls before being run out. The return of Jonny Bairstow proved to be a game-changer as he unleashed a stunning 108* off 48 deliveries, featuring eight fours and nine sixes. His heroic innings guided PBKS to a historic victory, achieving the highest successful run-chase in men’s T20 cricket.

Not to be outdone, Shashank Singh’s unbeaten 68* off 28 balls, alongside Bairstow, sealed the win with an exceptional 84-run partnership. PBKS clinched the victory with eight wickets in hand and as many balls to spare, showcasing their resilience and firepower in the IPL 2024 season.
