Rashid Khan delivered a crucial moment for Gujarat Titans in their IPL 2025 clash against Chennai Super Kings at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday (May 25), clean bowling Devon Conway just after the Kiwi opener reached his half-century. Conway, who had struggled with the bat in recent matches with scores of 12, 0, and 10, finally found his rhythm, playing a commanding innings for CSK.

After being asked to bat first, CSK got off to a blazing start, courtesy of an aggressive partnership between Conway and young opener Ayush Mhatre. The pair stitched together 44 runs in just four overs before Mhatre departed for a quickfire 34 off 17 balls. Devon Conway then anchored the innings with Urvil Patel, guiding CSK past the 100-run mark.
However, Patel was dismissed by Sai Kishore after scoring 37, ending a solid stand. Shivam Dube joined Conway at the crease, and the duo added another 37 runs before Dube was removed by Shahrukh Khan for 17.

Devon Conway attempted a sweep but misjudged the delivery, allowing the ball to sneak through and crash into the stumps. He departed after a well-made 52 off 35 balls, laced with six boundaries and two sixes.
At the time of Conway’s dismissal, CSK were cruising at 186/4 in the 17th over, with Dewald Brevis and Ravindra Jadeja at the crease. With over three overs remaining, CSK had their sights set on a total north of 220 to finish the season on a high.

For CSK, this marks their final outing of a disappointing campaign, as they sit at the bottom of the points table. Even a win won’t lift them off the last spot. Meanwhile, Gujarat Titans are eager for a win that would cement their place in the top two, setting the stage for a strong playoff run.
