Ravichandran Ashwin has been among the top brains in the DC team as they started their campaign with a resounding victory over CSK. Ashwin has been the go-to man for DC in crunch situations which was evidently seen in the last edition of the IPL. DC also has some very popular social media maniac players in the team like Shikhar Dhawan, Prithvi Shaw both of whom show their sarcastic side always on their social media platforms.

Recently, Ravichandran Ashwin denied doing the ‘Vaathi coming’ step with his teammates as can be seen in a video posted on Delhi Capital’s Twitter handle. Shikhar can be seen urging Ashwin to do the popular step but the Chennai man is refusing to do so. Ashwin had earlier done this same step with Hardik Pandya and Kuldeep Yadav during the Australian tour.

Meanwhile, Delhi Capitals started their journey in this year’s IPL on a positive note as they won their opening game against CSK very emphatically. Prithvi Shaw and Shikhar Dhawan were the stars for DC in that match as both players notched up their half-centuries and put up an opening stand of 138 runs during that chase.

Ravi Ashwin looked out of form in that game as he gave away 47 runs in his quota of four overs. He was taken to the cleaners by the CSK batsmen and looked completely out of sorts. However, the legendary bowler would be looking to get back in his top form as soon as possible.

Recently, Ashwin had a resounding Australian tour and played a vital part in team India’s famous Test series victory down-under. His patient innings in the SCG was nothing less than legendary as that innings completely changed the course of the series towards India. He has been a regular member of the Indian Test team but has been struggling to find a spot in the limit-overs team of India.
