Indian batsman Robin Uthappa has been a crucial player for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) ever since 2014. However, in IPL 2018, he wasn’t retained by the franchise but he was taken in the team by using the Right to Match (RTM) card.

Uthappa was even expected to become the captain of the team, but it was Dinesh Karthik who led the team in the last season of the cash-rich league. Nevertheless, the season didn’t turn out to be a memorable one for the team. Robin will now be playing for the Bengaluru Blasters in the Karnataka Premier League (KPL). He was replaced Karun Nair in this year’s auction of the event.

Ahead of the tournament, Robin Uthappa was interviewed by a leading media, where he was encountered with a rapid-fire question and answer round. He was also asked the question to choose his favorite captain among Sourav Ganguly and MS Dhoni. Robin Uthappa thought about the question for a while, however, answered ‘MS Dhoni’ with a big smile.

Robin was also a part of the victorious Indian squad which won the T20 World Cup 2007 in South Africa under the leadership of MS Dhoni.

Talking about the captaincy, MS Dhoni is one of the most successful skippers of India, especially in ODIs and T20Is as he has lifted all the ICC trophies. Under his leadership, the Indian cricket team attained new heights.

Dhoni led the Indian cricket team to the number 1 position in the ICC rankings in Test cricket as well.
