Indian men’s cricket team captain Rohit Sharma has begun intense preparations for the upcoming three-match ODI series against England and the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. Rohit, who top-scored for India in the T20 World Cup 2024 and the ODI series against Sri Lanka in August 2024, is eager to carry his momentum into these crucial tournaments.

On Friday, Rohit shared a video on Instagram featuring highlights from his batting practice session. Later that evening, his IPL franchise, Mumbai Indians, posted a video capturing a face-off between Rohit and Hardik Pandya during practice. In the viral clip, Hardik is seen bowling to his captain, who responded with some exquisite shots, reflecting his readiness for the challenges ahead.
Hardik Pandya, who last played a 50-over match for India on October 19, 2023, against Bangladesh in Pune, is also gearing up for the Champions Trophy. The 31-year-old all-rounder, part of the 2017 Champions Trophy squad, is expected to feature prominently in this edition.

Notably, Hardik Pandya top-scored in the 2017 final against Pakistan, even though India lost by 180 runs. Before the Champions Trophy, Hardik will participate in the five-match T20I series against England, starting January 22 in Kolkata, with subsequent matches scheduled in Chennai, Rajkot, Pune, and Mumbai.

Hardik’s recent outings in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and Vijay Hazare Trophy for Baroda demonstrated his impressive all-round form, solidifying his importance to India’s campaign.
