While Rohit Sharma is chasing to become the leading run-scorer in T20I history, Indian cricket will be the first team who will have the leading run-scorers in all three formats.
After scoring a brilliant match-winning century (111*) in the last T20I against Windies on Tuesday night, the right-handed limited-overs Indian opening batsman Rohit Sharma is now chasing to become the leading run-scorer in T20I history as he needs to score 69 more runs to achieve this feat. While the New Zealand batsman Martin Guptill is the present leading T20I run-scorer with 2,271 runs, Rohit is in the next position after his recent T20I century as he has scored 2,203 runs in his T20I career.
India will play their last T20I of the three-match home T20I series against Windies on this Sunday (November 11) at M. A. Chidambaram Stadium (Chennai). Rohit has a good chance to achieve this feat in that game, but if he fails to count that opportunity, he will have three more chances in this year as India will play a three-match away T20I series against the hosts Australia that will begin from November 21.

While Rohit will achieve this special feat, he will also become the first ever Indian batsman to take the leading run-scorer crown in T20I cricket history. With that record, India will also be the first team who will have the leading run-scorers in all three formats.
The legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar is the leading run-scorer both in Test and ODI formats. Currently, Tendulkar has the huge differences from the second-positioned batsmen in both formats as the right-handed batsman scored 15,921 runs in Tests and 18,426 runs in ODIs.
