The veteran Indian cricketer Rohit Sharma and his wife Ritika Sajdeh are all set to give birth to their first child. She is pregnant at the moment and will soon give birth to a baby even as her husband cricketer is playing a Test series in Australia and will be on the road until February with India scheduled to travel New Zealand as well.
Rohit is eagerly waiting to enter into the next stage of his life along with Ritika and has termed it as a life-changing moment. He recently revealed the news of him becoming the father while speaking to former Australian cricketer Michael Clarke at a promotion event of a prominent watch company.
During the interview, Sharma also went on to reveal that his India teammates started laughing at him when they came to know about the news. He explained, “When my teammates got to know that I am going to become a father, they were laughing at me. They were like you are going to be a father?”

However, he also added that they were making fun of him because of the fact that he is famous for forgetting things. Rohit Sharma is known to forget his valuable things in the team hotels and flights more often than not. Though the Indian batsman also assured he will make sure that such things never happen again as he is becoming a father soon.
Sharma further added, “The reaction came in because of the mannerism and the things I have done in my previous years. They think I am irresponsible, obviously in a funny way. But I am gonna make sure that everything changes.”
As far as his on-field heroics are concerned, Rohit is currently involved in the four-match Test series against Australia and scored an impressive half-century in the ongoing MCG Test. Though he failed in the second innings scoring only five runs off 18 deliveries.
