Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) are locking horns with Punjab Kings (PBKS) at the Wankhede stadium in their third game of this IPL season. Kolkata skipper Shreyas Iyer won the toss and opted to bowl first citing the due in the second innings as the reason behind his decision. It was Bhanuka Rajapaksa, who gave them a great start to PBKS inside the powerplay and some of his shots were breathtaking and brilliant to see.

Punjab witnessed a forgettable start as they lost skipper Mayank Agarwal in the very first over of the game. He was dismissed by Umesh Yadav who found him plumb in front of the wicket. This brought Bhanuka Rajapaksa onto the crease. He played a cameo scoring 31 off 9 balls and took a special liking to Shivam Mavi as he smashed 22 runs in his over.

Rajapaksa first hit the pacer for a four down the leg side. The southpaw then smacked him for the first six over mid-on. The second six was even more special as he hoicked him for a six on the leg side. The third six was hit over deep mid-wicket as the left-hander showcased some great batting skills all across the ground.

However, Mavi came back hard on the fifth delivery of the over and dismissed Rajapaksa who tried to hit him over mid-off but found Tim Southee at the end of the 30-yard circle. That brought his cameo to an end much to the relief of the KKR fans and the players.
