For multiple reasons, the 15th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) has become one of the best seasons for the youngsters. The performances of some of the youngsters this season have been pretty phenomenal. RR opener Jos Buttler and KL Rahul showed why they are rated highly in international cricket. The pair “Kul-Cha” have once again shown their class. But one thing that stands apart is the sheer pace of SRH pacer, Umran Malik.

Umran Malik has garnered a lot of limelight and now he has got praises from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) President, Sourav Ganguly, who can’t stop himself from praising the 23-year-old pacer. Umran is one the fastest bowler in the IPL and is consistently hitting a speed of over 150 km/h.

During an interaction with News18, Sourav Ganguly praised a few cricketers and spoke about the ongoing season of the IPL. He said that he is watching the IPL and that it is getting very interesting with every game. Speaking about the two new franchises, he said that Lucknow Super Giants and Gujarat Titans are doing a great job in their debut seasons.

In particular, he lauded SRH pacer Umran Malik. He said, “I would say Umran Malik has been the outstanding face of the league so far.”

The SRH pacer is doing a great job and is one of the highest wicket-takers in IPL 2022. He was excellent against GT in the last match, when he bagged a five-wicket haul. Umran registered a figure of 5/25 and was named “Man of the Match.”

Earlier, the Umran Malik also opened up about his performance in interaction with NDTV. He said that speed comes naturally to him and that this season is more focused on the line. The SRH pacer concluded that he wants to make Jammu and Kashmir and his country proud.
