During the second day of the ongoing fifth Ashes, 2021-22 Test match between Australia and England in Hobart, veteran English fast bowler, Stuart Broad got frustrated by host broadcaster Fox Cricket’s rover which was moving beyond the boundary rope. The incident took place in the 63rd over when Broad was running into a bowl to Australia fast bowler Mitchell Starc (3).

With a rover moving near the boundary behind Starc, it disrupted the concentration of Stuart Broad to the extent that he had to pull out from his run-up and scream in anguish. Just before delivering the ball, he yelled, “Stop moving the robot.”

It was in the next over that Mitchell Starc’s attempt to play a pull shot at the short delivery bowled by Mark Wood, which resulted in the southpaw’s dismissal. Wood, who went for a plethora of runs on Day 1 of the Test, returned with another wicket in the same spell as Australia captain Pat Cummins (2) also failed to keep a short delivery down whilst wanting to play a pull.

For the people who are unaware, a rover is moving camera-like equipment which is mostly witnessed moving from one side to the other near the boundary rope. Despite the eye-catching visuals, such camera equipment shouldn’t be in a moving state when a bowler is running into a bowl.
