The Winner Of PSL 2021 Will Receive INR 3.5 crores As Prize Money

Another popular mega cricket event, Pakistan Super League (PSL) is ending towards its end. The event started on 20th February, earlier this year, but it was halted due to the covid 19 pandemic. At one point in time, it did not seem to complete so soon. The final is all set to take place on June 24 at Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi.

 Multan Sultans and Peshawar Zalmi have won their respective eliminator matches against Karachi Kings and Islamabad United. Now, apart from winning the prestigious trophy, the winning team will be taking a huge chunk of money home. Multan Sultans scored 10 points of their quota of 10 games. This included 05 wins and 05 losses. Islamabad United was the most successful team in the tournament.

On the other hand, the condition of the second finalists, Peshawar Zalmis was slightly better. Wahab Riaz and his men suffered four losses in 06 encounters. This slimmed their chances of qualifying for the playoffs. However, learning from the mistakes, they made a terrific comeback and secured a spot with back-to-back wins, after the losses.

During the tournament, Zalmis also managed to register a win over United during the eliminator and end their campaign there. The team was regarded as favorites a stage but these 02 finalists shocked everyone with their performances at crucial junctures.

The fascinating aspect of the season is the prize money. The winner of PSL 2021 will be rewarded as many as INR 3.5 crore. Whereas, the runners-up, will be awarded INR 1.5 crore. Many more attractive prizes for either player showing significant contributions on the field have also been announced.

  • Winner – INR 3.5 crore (PKR 75 million)
  • Runners-up – INR 1.5 crore (PKR 30 million)
  • Player of the tournament – INR 14.1 lakh (PKR 3 million)
  • Highest Run-Scorer – INR 3.75 lakh (PKR 0.8 million)
  • Highest Wicket-Taker – INR 3.75 lakh (PKR 0.8 million)
  • Best Fielder – INR 3.75 lakh (PKR 0.8 million)
  • Best Wicketkeeper – INR 3.75 lakh (PKR 0.8 million)
  • Spirit of Cricket – INR 15.01 lakh (PKR 3.2 million)
