This picture started the banter between three IPL teams

While it is the off-season for IPL teams, they sometimes use social media platforms to connect with the fans. But on Tuesday, there was the social media banter between the three IPL teams.

It all started from a tweet of the MI cricketer Hardik Pandya who posted a selfie with his elder brother Krunal Pandya and Windies all-rounder Kieron Pollard. They are all the teammates in Mumbai Indians since 2016.

With that picture, Hardik Pandya tweeted, “I had to hold my phone pretty high to fit Big Polly into the frame Happy to see you again my brother”

As all of them are very important all-rounders of the team, MI grabbed that opportunity and posted on their official Twitter account.

The franchise shared that with a post, “Find a better allrounder trio. We will wait #CricketMeriJaan @hardikpandya7 @KieronPollard55 @krunalpandya24”

Soon, SRH joined at there as they posted a picture of their top overseas all-rounders – Bangladesh cricketer Shakib Al Hasan and the Afghan duo Mohammed Nabi & Rashid Khan.

SRH replied on MI’s tweet, “The wait is over! pic.twitter.com/MM5nzuuJDt”

MI didn’t take any rest as soon they posted another picture of their three IPL trophies that won in 2013, 2015 and 2017.

They continued the banter by posting, “The wait goes on… pic.twitter.com/uDeM0WImIt”

Chennai Super Kings joined at that moment who has also won three IPL trophies in 2010, 2011 and 2018. In the reply of MI’s first tweet, the franchise posted the three identical images of their skipper MS Dhoni and wrote on it, “Moondru Mugam #Thala #WhistlePodu pic.twitter.com/0thaMqeIE1”

Since SRH was formed in 2012, MI and SRH have met in 12 matches where MI won in five games and SRH won in seven games. In the last season (2018), SRH won both the games against MI. However, MI has won the joint most IPL trophies – for the three times that were equalled by CSK in IPL 2018, while SRH has won only one IPL trophy in 2016.
