Indian cricket team registered its first ever 3-0 Test series whitewash on foreign soil against Sri Lanka. Virat Kohli and his men defeated the Lankans in the third Test by an innings and 171 runs.
Sri Lankan never gave a tough competition to the Indian team in the whole tournament except the second innings of the second Test at SSC, Colombo. They are yet to find the replacements for their former stalwarts and it has been a demoralizing period for them from last few months, losing the ODI series to Zimbabwe and now this embarrassment.
On the other hand, Indian cricket team has found has found out another rising star in Hardik Pandya, who has once again proven his worth by scoring his maiden international century. He helped the Indian team to reach the total of 487 by scoring a 86 ball century in the first innings.
On the Bowling front, the Indian team hasn’t taken any foot wrong as Kuldeep Yadav picked wickets in absence of Jadeja and Ashwin got his groove back.
