New Zealand skipper played two brilliant knocks in the series-decider third and final Test of the series against Pakistan at Abu Dhabi (started on 3 December) that helped his team to win that Test match as well as that series by 2-1.

The Kiwi side decided to bat first after winning the toss and managed to score 274 runs in their first innings, thanks to Williamson’s 89 runs off 176 balls (7 fours).

In reply, Pakistan gained a good lead of 74 runs at the end of their first innings after they were bowled out on 348 runs.

While New Zealand was struggling on 60/4 in their second innings, the skipper Williamson and Henry Nicholls provided a game-changing 212-run partnership for the fifth wicket. Williamson scored 139 runs off 283 balls (13 fours) in that innings which led the side for a good total. Also, Nicholls remained unbeaten on 126 off 266 balls (12 balls) as New Zealand declared their innings on 353/7.

Chasing down the challenging 280 runs target in the fourth innings, Pakistan was bundled out for just 156 runs and New Zealand won that game by 123 runs.
