The Ashes is just one night away and the fever of this rivalry has spread around the cricket fraternity. Recently, Big Ant Studio has launched their Ashes game, where gamers can play with Virat Kohli in Ashes, which has excited the audiences.

However, due to license issue, only English and Aussie teams are available to play in this game, but there is an option to make an avatar. Thus, fans can create an in-game version of their favorite player and battle for the glory.

This game features latest 3D modeling, motion capture and photogrammetry technology. Meanwhile, it has both men and women cricket in the game, which makes it even interesting. Earlier this year, Big Ant Studio worked with Glenn Maxwell, Steve Smith, Emma Inglis and Mackinley Blows to figure out their signature shots and movements.

We recognize the role digital games can play in doing this, particularly reaching younger fans, and fuelling their interest in the game – and ideally seeing them pick up a bat and ball to play Australia’s favorite sport,” said Cricket Australia CEO James Sutherland.

Minister for Creative Industries Martin Foley quoted “Melbourne is the home of sport and the home of digital games. This game shows how major brands are recognizing the incredible growth and potential of games, as well as the talent that calls Victoria home.”
