After the conclusion 11th season of Indian Premier League (IPL), the players of Team India have now returned to Blue Jersey. Currently, they are on the grueling UK tour which is expected to be lasting for around 3 months. The Indian team has started on a good note as they registered a huge win over the Ireland team in the first of the two T20Is. In which India’s openers Shikhar Dhawan and Hitman Rohit Sharma batted to make a record partnership of 160 runs.

Ireland won the toss at the start of the match and decided to bowl first. As a result, India batted first only to score as many as 208 runs in the process. Behind this huge score, India’s deputy skipper Hitman Rohit Sharma scored an unbeaten 97 in 61 balls. In which Rohit smashed eight boundaries and five sixes. During the course of his innings, his strike rate was close to 160.

During his innings, Rohit hit a shot which is usually seen to be played by the Hockey player. Even the legendary commentators during the match termed the shot of hockey in the field of cricket. The shot came in the 7th over of the match bowled by Stuart Thompson. It was a full toss wide outside off, but Sharma has managed to stretch across and whip this to the square leg boundary with a sweep.

Significantly, in this match, India batted first with a huge 208 runs in 20 overs. In reply, Ireland’s team could only manage 132 runs.

Rohit Sharma played a brilliant knock of 97 and Shikhar Dhawan scored 74 runs. At the same time, team India spinner Kuldeep Yadav achieved the highest number of four wickets by conceding just 21 runs in his quota of 4 overs.
