According to Yuvraj, his XI would include Chris Gayle, AB de Villiers, and Jasprit Bumrah. There was no MS Dhoni, Rohit Sharma, or Virat Kohli in his choices.

These inferences have been drawn by Yuvraj for his respect towards explosive batting and dynamic bowling. Two other cricketers, who along with Yuvraj, played in the Royal Challengers Bangalore, are Chris Gayle and AB de Villiers. Completing this trio is the main pacer of the Indian team, Jasprit Bumrah, since Yuvraj too had his experience with Mumbai Indians in 2019, which indeed were his last seasons of IPL.

When asked what his favourite IPL team was, Yuvraj Singh chose Delhi Capitals. However, the association with Delhi was abnormally short and memorable only because of that disastrous 2015 season which sent them to near the bottom of the table.

There were even news reports which suggested that Yuvraj might be up for the head coach position of the Delhi Capitals, recently vacated by the former Australian captain Ricky Ponting.
