On his birthday, a plethora of people wished him and the ace Indian batsman Rohit Sharma who recently made a comeback to the Indian Test side in Australia. However, Yuvraj didn’t let go the opportunity to rebuke Rohit over his failure in the first Test in Adelaide though it was never something serious. The fans hope the Mumbai batsman will keep in mind the senior cricketer’s words the next time he takes a stance in a Test, given he gets to play another, that is.
Rohit got to play in the first Test of the four-match series but managed 37 and 1 in the two innings though India won the match by 31 runs. He managed to get into the playing XI ahead of youngster Hanuma Vihari. Yuvraj was quick to zero in on Rohit’s innings of 37 at No.6 which was a sort of counter-attack after India were reduced to 41 for 4 on the morning of Day 1. When Rohit tweeted congratulating Yuvraj on his birthday, calling him an “eternal superstar”, the southpaw warned him saying if he got out for 37 again, he would catch him by his neck.

For making Rohit understanding the ‘seriousness’ of his warning, Yuvraj also responded to the photo in which he is seen grabbing Rohit’s neck in an Indian Premier League match. The fact that Rohit is in his batting guards gives an impression that Yuvraj is trying to discourage him from playing too good.
