Former Indian skipper Bishan Singh Bedi hits out the Indian skipper Virat Kohli for Anil Kumble’s resignation as a head coach of the Indian cricket team in last year.
Recently, the Indian skipper Virat Kohli has been involved in the controversy after his “leave India” comments to his fan. Giving his opinion on this matter, the former Indian skipper Bishan Singh Bedi compared that incident with the former Indian cricket team’s head coach Anil Kumble’s resignation incident, which happened in last year just after the completion of ICC Champions Trophy.

During the Sahitya Aaj Tak event, Bedi said, “That is what I am saying, one person (Virat Kohli) is doing all he wants and we are letting it happen. What would Anil (Kumble) have said, he was gracious to leave it like that.”

Bedi further added, “In my humble opinion, there is hardly anyone more intense than Kohli, but there is a world of difference in his intensity and the team’s. Similarly, Virat Kohli as a player and Virat Kohli as a captain, there is a world of difference.”
Currently, the Indian cricket team is busy in the Australia tour where they will play the three-match T20I series, four-match Test series and three-match ODI series, starting on November 21. Though Australia is likely to miss their two important players Steven Smith and David Warner in this whole tour due to the bans, Bedi added that Indian batting is widely depended on Virat Kohli.

Bedi said, “The Indian team is good, we all know that, but the same team went to England and South Africa and those teams were also “weak”. Yes, the bans have happened on two kids, but a team is not made of two individuals.
“In fact, our team is made of one person, everything is about Kohli. The amount of focus there is, you don’t realize how much pressure you are putting on that kid [Kohli], both as a batsman and a captain.”
