The 15th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) got concluded just three days ago. Elite Indian all-rounder, Hardik Pandya successfully managed to win an IPL title in his first-ever season as the captain of the new IPL franchise, Gujarat Titans (GT). Meanwhile, the former Indian opener, Aakash Chopra, who is known for expressing opinions on social media selected a 15-member squad of India for the upcoming T20 World Cup based on IPL 2022 performance.

However, Aakash Chopra selects the squad based on their performance in the recently concluded season of the IPL. T20 World Cup 2022 will be taking place in Australia this time. The tournament will begin on October 16 while the final will be scheduled on November 13. The teams are divided into two groups named Group A and Group B.

The squad picked by Aakash Chopra missed some big names in Indian cricket. The list includes the names of Indian skippers Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Rishabh Pant are included in the long list as the names were picked on the basis of their performance in the IPL 2022 performance.

However, the list featured some new and exciting faces in the Indian middle-order batter Rahul Tripathi, Krunal Pandya, Avesh Khan, and co. The squad of Chopra had some prominent names in Jasprit Bumrah, KL Rahul, and Suryakumar Yadav.

First of all the concept of selecting a national side on the basis of ipl performance is foolish considering WC is in Australia. Secondly even if that’s the basis how do Ishan , Avesh etc make the team . The spinners selected apart from Chahal will go for plenty on Aussie tracks
