Mumbai Indians has developed a habit of doing amazingly well in one season of IPL and failing miserably in the following one. Last year we saw Mumbai’s miserable year, where they couldn’t reach to the playoffs despite playing some good cricket. MI is the most successful team in the history of the Indian Premier League along with Chennai Super Kings and has three IPL title in their bag.
Mumbai has several match winners in their lineup but still, the batting order relies on Rohit Sharma a lot. They have Even Lewin, Kieron Pollard, Yuvraj Singh and Hardik Pandya in their team, but no one stood up in the hour of need.

Leaving the bad memories behind, Mumbai went in for some young players during this year’s IPL auction and bought Anmolpreet Singh, Pankaj Jaiswal, Rasikh Saleem Dar and Barinder Sran. But who can give them the X factor to lift another IPL trophy?
Anmolpreet Singh
This young lad hails from Punjab and was picked by Mumbai for 80 lakh INR. His cousin Prabhsimran Singh was also in this year’s auction and was picked by Kings XI Punjab for a whopping 4.8 crores. Both players started their cricketing journey together in the backyard of their home.

Anmol is a top-order batsman and his stats resemble what he is capable of doing. He has over 1200 First-Class runs in 23 innings at an amazing average of 55 with help of four centuries. In the List A cricket, he averages at 52.45 for his 577 runs in 11 matches. These numbers are enough to tell the story of Anmol, but he has to fill big shoes in the MI camp.
If the team management decides to open the innings with him, he will be partnering Evin Lewis. He can tonk the ball long and can score boundaries at will. Mumbai Indians would be eager to use his batting powers well in the upcoming season.
