Afghanistan leg-spinner Rashid Khan decided his Big Bash League (BBL) team for the next two seasons. He extended his contract with Adelaide Strikers until the 2019/20 BBL. Playing his first BBL season, Rashid had played a major role for Adelaide Strikers to win the 2017/18 BBL trophy.
Rashid Khan played for Adelaide Strikers in the 2017/18 BBL season where he ended up as a joint most taking bowler in that tournament. Playing 11 matches in that tournament, he picked up 18 wickets with the brilliant average of 13.80 while his economy rate was 5.66.
Adelaide Strikers, who had never reached the final before the 2017/18 BBL, won the crown and Rashid Khan was one of the major contributors to his team. However, he missed the final match of that tournament due to his national duty but his impressive bowling helped his side to reach the final.

After securing a thrilling one-run victory in the semi-final against Melbourne Renegades, Rashid Khan had posted an emotional tweet along with the best wishes for his team. In his official Twitter account, Rashid Khan posted, ”@StrikersBBL IN FINAL NOW . In the final match, Adelaide Strikers had not suffered too much for the non-service of Rashid Khan as they beat Hobart Hurricanes by 25 runs. It was their first ever BBL final match where they secured their maiden BBL crown.
Now, Rashid Khan extended his BBL contract for the upcoming two season.

On the other hand, 23-years old Australian right-arm fast bowler Billy Stanlake also extended his BBL contract with Adelaide Strikers until 2020/21 BBL. Since the 2015/16 BBL, when Billy had made his debut in BBL, he is playing for Adelaide Strikers.
Another interesting point is that Rashid Khan and Billy Stanlake both will also play for Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 2018 Indian Premier League (2018 IPL). Both had made their IPL debut in 2017 where Rashid Khan had featured for Sunrisers Hyderabad and Billy Stanlake had played Royal Challengers Bangalore.
While Rashid Khan was brilliant in his opening IPL season too, Billy had only played two matches where he took total 2 wickets.
