Several questions were fired in his direction. One of the user asked him to name his best five fielders among the current crop of cricketers.

Ravindra Jadeja and Suresh Raina were the only Indian players that made it to Azharuddin’s top-five. Glenn Maxwell, Ben Stokes and David Warner are the other three best players that Azharuddin sees as the best among the current cricketers.

He himself was a gun fielder during his cricketing days.

Despite Suresh Raina not being active in international cricket, he found a place on this list. He is currently playing for Chennai Super Kings in the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League 2021 which is taking place in the UAE. Chennai Super Kings have booked their place in the final of the tournament.

On the other hand, Ravindra Jadeja is also involved in the IPL. He has been in terrific form for CSK. He has won several matches on his own in the last two years for CSK, who are benefiting from Jadeja’s all-round skills.

Meanwhile, Ben Stokes opted to take an indefinite break from competitive cricket and, subsequently, missed the second leg of the IPL 2021. He sustained a finger injury during the first leg in India and he is still nursing that injured finger.

David Warner
David Warner’s IPL ended in an unlikely manner

David Warner’s IPL ended when he was dropped from the playing XI. SRH sacked him from captaincy during the Indian leg and got dropped. However, he was in the playing XI when the second leg began. But his poor form with the bat saw him being axed once again.

Glenn Maxwell, however, had an amazing season in the league. He was the highest run-scorer for Royal Challengers Bangalore this season. He successfully put away the horrors of the IPL 2020 and found a new home in RCB, where he managed to deliver as well. RCB’s IPL ended with a defeat in the eliminator against Kolkata Knight Riders.
