India and Australia are facing each other in their second and the last warm-up game of the T20 World Cup 2021 in Dubai’s ICC Academy Ground. Both teams will try to iron out their flaws before the main tournament starts later this week.
Virat Kohli is resting for this game and Rohit Sharma led the team in his absence. Aaron Finch won the toss and opted to bat first. Both captains mentioned they wanted to bat first as they chased in their first warm-up game. Apart from Kohli, Mohammed Shami and Jasprit Bumrah are rested as well. For Australia, Josh Inglis, Josh Hazlewood and Mitchell Swepson are missing from this game.

Australian openers David Warner and Finch walked out to open the innings. Warner, who is going through a lean patch with the bat, got out for another low score. Ravichandran Ashwin trapped him LBW for 7-ball 1 before dismissing Mitchell Marsh for a golden duck.
Ravindran Jadeja, then, dismissed Aaron Finch with his first ball of the game. Steve Smith and Glenn Maxwell had to the damage control and they shared 61 runs for the fourth wicket. Maxwell got out after scoring 28-ball 37 runs, where he scored 5 fours before Rahul Chahar dismissed him.
Smith (57 off 48) scored a fighting fifty and found a good partner in Marcus Stoinis, who scored unbeaten 41 runs in 25 balls, which featured four fours and one six. Australia scored 152/5 in 20 overs.
In response, Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul walked out to get India’s response underway. Both openers looked at home and Australian bowlers failed to trouble them. Rahul played aggressively during his 39-run knock before getting out to Ashton Agar. But he had put 68 runs for the opening wicket with Rohit before getting out.

Every generation makes little improvements on the one that came before. We used to laugh after a batter was given. Watching Warner here, Ishan Kishan laughs *during* the appeal. Got to respect the little one per-centers. #INDvsAUS
