Royal Challengers Bangalore and Delhi Capitals are locking horns against each other in the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League 2021. Both teams are playing well this year and have a place in the top four. Whoever wins this game will go to the top of the points table.

Ishant Sharma made his comeback in this game replacing Ravichandran Ashwin, who has decided to go back home owing to the current coronavirus situation in the country. Sharma made a statement straightaway as he bowled dangerous-looking Devdutt Padikkal with a peach of a delivery.

RCB got off to a good start as Virat Kohli and Padikkal were looking good in the middle. However, RCB lost their skipper on the last ball of the fourth over. Everyone was talking about Kohli’s dismissal when Ishant Sharma castled Padikkal with an outstanding ball. He pitched the ball at the off stump and it got straightened after pitching. Padikkal had no answer for this ball and played all around it. He got out after scoring 17 runs off 14 balls.

Kohli lost yet another toss against DC. Rishabh Pant took no time in opting to bowl first owing to the dew that is expected to arrive in the second innings. Pant brought Ishant Sharma in place of Ashwin while Kohli replaced Navdeep Saini and Daniel Christian with Rajat Patidar and Daniel Sams.

RCB is coming in this game at the back of a humiliating defeat against Chennai Super Kings. After conceding 191 runs with the ball, RCB batsmen had no answer against a disciplined bowling lineup of CSK. They eventually lost the game by 69 runs and their unbeaten run in the IPL 2021 got stopped.

DC won their last game against SRH in the super over. They were in a pole position to win the game in the last over but Kane Williamson forced the game into the super over. However, DC came victorious and jumped to third place at the points table.
